Negotiation Skills - Course Description
Many of us consider “Negotiation” to be an element of management where “corporate professionals in suits” sit round a table with the aim of thrashing out a business deal. Whilst this can be true in terms of heavy business negotiations, it should be recognised that everyone negotiates all the time in both their personal and professional lives, sometimes so informally that they are not even aware that they are doing it.
This Negotiation Skills Course therefore, considers the whole process of both formal and informal negotiations and gives the participant a range of approaches, concepts and tools to increase their confidence and competence in the negotiation field.
The Negotiation Skills Course is designed to allow participants to:

- – Understand the importance of who has the “power” in a negotiation
- – Understand the range of “variables” that can be utilised in a negotiation

- – Understand key negotiation” stages”, “skills” and “positions”
- – Maximise their “communication skills” in negotiating effectively
